When I was growing up there was The Lone Ranger. He was a role model for boys, lo and behold - a MAN who was strong, kind courageous and fought for what he knew was right. Now, men are portrayed as bumbling idiots or else they're of a different ilk altogether.
I also thought that Little House on the Prairie was a great show. There are others, but I'm not thinking of the right now.
In this day, TV has most descended into the pit, as far I'm concerned. Households that have young children should use mostly videos of selective quality stuff.
