For strong scents no more than two squirts. If it is light like mine (pure) by Alfred Sung then wrists, behind the ears and another squirt on the neck and that will do. But I agree when others are choking and feeling light headed or getting a headache from being near you then that is too much. I get headaches from walking through the cosmetics section in department stores.

If I can smell it, it's too much, if it's something I can barely make out, just a hint, that can be stood. Personally I like the smell of the woman, not some junk she puts on.
The worst I ever smelled, when I still drove with my window down, passed a car coming the other way, both cars doing 30, and the smell hit me right in the face,

Sometimes, there`s a person or two who i walk by who has such a heavy perfume stench, that i sometimes gag. Nobody should ever put THAT much. But the scent shouldn't be too light either. Just like the person above said, it should be subtle so people only get a faint whiff when they are near you or pass by you.

Perfume, or Cologne should be subtle. The scent should only be detected by others if they are close or the person walks by and one gets a faint smell.
More than this is way too much.

When the purfume gives people headaches. I suggest one puff on your left wrist then rubbing them together, one on your neck, and depending on your age one between your breasts. Unless your purfume is very strong then you should probably let a friend you trust guide you because she'll be able to smell it, and can tell you when to stop.

If it is really strong, then more than one spray is too overpowering. I believe that perfume should be soft and subtle, not in your face and noticeable when you walk into a room.

more then 3 sprays is enough.. Perfume is meant to reflect some of your presonality and give you some sexyness.. Too much of it and people pay more attention to your perfume, then what your saying
