He threatened to fire me for not liking the person he hired for the department I was in charge of when I was 8,5 months pregnant. He even prepared a fake termination letter for me and I got stressed and felt sick and had to go home and when my colleagues confronted him he said that he does not give a flying f...k about what all this stress will do to my unborn child and that I had to be taught a lesson.

I had a boss for a while who was horrible just by being absolutely mentally ill. The worst part was that we worked with clients with mental illness and the healthier ones all recognized that she was more ill than they were. This woman tried to be my friend and when I kept my boundaries in place she turned into my enemy. It was just an unhealthy working environment going in every day and never knowing what the rules were. I almost cracked under the pressure.
But she was just one in a long list of insane bosses.

I worked for a telemarketer once (sorry everyone) and my boss was this lady who was clearly on drugs of some sort. She was prone to fly into rages that "disabled" several computers, or sit in the breakroom talking to the TV (it was off). The only reason she was there was because she was the owner's daughter, and I ended up quitting a week before she broke into the place after hours and stole most of the computers and furniture.
The company went out of business shortly after that, so I guess it was a good thing.

The worst bosses are the ones who encourage tattle taling.
This destroys a unit as ther is no peer trust anymore.
A true leader would rebuff a would be tattle tale and tell them to build a relationship with their peers.

I was the personal secretary to a master photographer. It was like working for a 2 year old. He was a remarkably talented man as a photographer, but his people skills (when it came to his employees) sucked big time. He would throw tantrums worthy of the finest terrible two-er. Including kicking, stomping, shaking his fists and throwing items. He would pout and pull at his hair and scream. You weren't allowed to do anything right. For example, he would say something like, "from now on, we're going to do it THIS way." So you do it THIS way and then he would throw one of his fits and scream at you, "You know we do it THAT way!" I hated that job worse than any job I've every had. Giving him my notice was one of the happiest days of my life!

I worked for a Chamber of Commerce and my boss (female) didn't like me so she decided to make me bring in all my work clothes and show them to her to make sure they were appropriate. I went to her boss and complained and they fired her. I quit soon after.

The guy was just an idiot. He did really stupid shi-t like one time he calls this guy into the office and tells him he talks to much and it is going to effect his job if he keeps it up. So this guy gets worried and ignores everyone right. Well 2 weeks later he calls him back into the office and says "Jeff whats wrong? Everyone says you don't communicate anymore." (he did stuff like that all the time)

I'm not gonna say his name but he would not say anything to me all month, we would have monthly reviews and he'd take out a big binder where he wrote down every mistake I made and ways I can improve myself. It made me a nervous wreck for nearly a year.
