Check what type of memory it needs and check to see if there are empty memory slots. Buy what you can afford - say to double the amount of memory it has (there is a limit to how much you can have and that depends on your motherboard and how old it is).

Look For Your PC Model And Go To The Company Website And Call Them And Ask What Type Of Memory Does My Computer Take And He Should Give You An Answer Like PC2100 Or DDR Or Something Like That And You Have To Buy A Stick Of Memory That Is Like 512mb, Or If Your Talking About Space You Have To Buy A Hard Drive Thats Like 80GB

You have to determine the max memory for the computer. The mfg site should have that info an it is in your bios. A memory seller will let you enter the computer system and show you what to buy.

Buy the memory sticks, open up the case of your computer, and slot them into the board.

You can also clear out some HD space or get a 2nd/bigger hard drive; to increase virtual mem. space.

get an external drive from Maxtor or something. Or try those memory sticks from Lexar. (The sticks are somewhat cheaper.)

If your looking for storage then you could buy another hard drive but if your looking for more speed then buy more ram.

go to http://www.crucial.com put name and model of your computer into there and it will show/tell you the excat amount and type memory it uses
