I was...and still terrified even see a tiny one...
My to my homeland, R.O.C Taiwan (the little island nearby big China)
My first time...
When I was 6 years old was asleep with mom, my face was facing the wall within 5 feet distant, I saw this...big spider, a hairy one (as big as a man's hand) walking on the wall in front of me...
I screamed...I tell my mom..to look.. as I closed my eyes and pretend not to see that big hair things
My mom was asleep, she told me to shut up....gees
My 2nd time, I was 9 years old... I saw a bigger one in my cousin's old apartment...
It came out nowhere...Me and him just took anything to just to kill it.....
My 3nd time, I was 13 the day before the graduation from middle school, I saw not just one but two of them, nearby my bed in the mid night, of course, I didn't want to make loud noise to disturb my parents...
so I took my Japanese sword that I have for collection....
and chopped one of them in half.....My victory...
however, the other was gone...I didn't know where it went...
Now, I live in USA...I haven't seen a spider as big as a man's hand here...
the one I see here are the tiny one, so I just use my audio cassette case to collect the tiny one.....and use vial to keep it in there...

#1 Went to stay at a cabin on the river and as my exhusband and I were sitting on the bed playing cards when I saw a spider on the wall, then another, and another...It got so bad that I finally ended up sleeping in the car!
#2 In the early to mid 90's we lived in a small rural town north of Sacramento. THREE time I found giant wolf spiders (around the size of tarantulas but they are grey) in my house. Once in the dog dish, once in my bedroom (I fogged twice and still wouldn't sleep in there for a month!) and once in my toddler's bath tub which was stored under his bed. I found it when I lifted the mattress to change the sheet.

Honest to goodness, I will never forget it.... a couple days after watching the movie "Arachnaphobia" at the theater..... I was outside, walking beside the garage,,,, there is an over hang, and I felt something touch my upper back, near my shoulder, I galced back to see...
IT WAS A FREAKIN HUGE UGLY CREAPY HARRY BLOOD SUCKING SPIDER!!!!
okay, well maybe it wasn't a blood sucker, but just in case... I screamed like I had never screamed before, I did the "ebey-jeeby" dance, screamed again, got the willies.....
Basically I freaked out.

Anytime I see a spider it's a bad experience for me. I'm so scared of them that I can't even breathe when I see one.
