can one transfer emails from yahoo existing acct to new yahoo acct?

Only if you forward all the emails in the original account. Otherwise I don't think there's a way to do it. You definitely can't change your Yahoo! ID so I guess that's the only solution.

You can e-mail them from the old account to the new one.

You can "Forward" them to the new account.
