Sir Lancelot, I think you have answered your own question. I lived among the arab muslims for nearly four years and the overriding impressions I got of them were for the most part negative. I can appreciate cultural diversity, even enjoy it. In my hometown we have more than a hundred different racial and national cultures. We have a great festival once a year in which we celebrate with cooking and dances and pagents. We have a great time with everyone coming together and putting their differences aside. I think it helps us get along together the rest of the year.
But one culture you will not see much of is arabic. They do not want to assimilate. They consider everyone else as infidels good only for slaughter. If they could force the rest of the world to convert to Islam they would do so even if it meant killing half the world's population.
You asked a serious question, and I think you deserve a serious, thoughtful answer. When the muslims aren't preoccupied with killing jews or others then they're killing each other. They will go to war in a heartbeat. Killing has been a way of life to them ever since their false prophet Mohammed began espousing his heresies and murdering and pillaging the middle east.
There can be no peace between us and them because they do not want peace. Jihad is their business. They love it. So how can we find common ground with people like that? I am afraid the only solution is total genocide of all arab muslims. You'll notice arab christians do not behave as the muslims do.
I could go on at length about the reasons we will never be able to live in peace with them. The only reason the Saudis are our allies (supposedly) is because of the immense oil profits. So they need us to make money. Without that reason they would be at our throats too.
But ofcourse we are not going to pull a Hitler on them, but we should atleast begin massive deportations of them. Confiscate their property without compensation, and put them on boats to the sand dune of their choice.
You probably disagree. But in my opinion, the only way we can achieve peace of any kind with them is to seperate ourselves from them.

I don't believe that it can be done. Peace can only be achieved when the opposing parties can reach some form of common ground to want it. The fanatics in the Muslim community that require the entire world to convert to their religion will settle for nothing less.
Some say that if Israel were out of the way then this issue would be settled, but that is naive thinking. If Israel were to disappear, and it is not going to happen, then those who desire the death of the Inifidels would move their fight to the rest of the non-Muslim world. There would have to be a dramatic shift in their mindset before peace can be achieved.
I would recommend prayer as a good way to start.

Is killing the fanatics , in any religion the answer? Sounds like more war to me. What was the thing that happened in history that gave the greatest rise to Christians. Killing Them.!
When you kill anyone , you just multiply their numbers and give them more power.
Jesus Christ preached , Peace. but how many wars have been fought over Christianity?
I don't think there is an answer!

they are doing that in their own country though . it would have been a civil war, and the u.s wouldnt have even had to step in and waste billions of hard earned us money if they werent so ******* greedy and wanted iraqi oil..i had a professor that told me a few years ago. he said , the oil for us will run out soon , we'll be looking for other sources, and one of the major is in iraq. mark my words we'll go to war over something. i know most people would think its crazy to think our own govt set up 9/11, but is it really so crazy when they needed an excuse to go to war over weapons of mass destructions, that ppl seem to have forgotten about the fact we never FOUND ANY! SO WHY THE H*E*L*L ARE WE STILL THERE! our government works with the oil companies to make billions. its all about money. the governement and corporations work together. who cares if they kill a few thousand americans, send thousands to iraq and hundreds to die, and kill and rape hundreds of innocent iraqis and their families.. they get billions of dollars. greed will be the fall of the us if there is one anytime soon. this is a corporate america where advertising will soon be so dominant that companies will have you tracked to see where you eat and shop, so you can buy worthless **** you don't even need! and people say american is the greatest country! other countries have freedom just like us: holland, germany, france, canada. and the deaths they have don't even compare! sorry i just get carried away knowing the government and corporations see human beings as consumers.. buying and giving their fat asses money..making their lives great why we stay struggling..

Well, let me start by saying that it would be incorrect to say that all Muslims want to kill non-believers. It is true that there are a radical few who would love to wipe out all non-Muslims. But these fanatics represent a tiny fraction of Muslims worldwide. The majority of Muslims here and abroad are good, honest, friendly, peaceful people who want to raise their families and live their lives without conflict.
That said, your question regarding peace does involve one of two things: eradicating that hostile Muslim element responsible for worldwide terror OR reconsidering the policies that enrage this segment in the first place, one of which is the systematic oppression created by global demand for petroleum. When western nations make deals with less-developed Middle Eastern nations, the few in charge benefit - rich Arab shieks and totalitarian heads of state. Meanwhile, millions live in poverty because their country's primary global export is hand delivered by a few wealthy, powerful individuals.
Bush has decided to go after the terrorists, but in doing so has inadvertently created more of them. He didn't intend for this to happen. Certainly, in a perfect world, we would have rounded up every last terrorist and executed them all. But the process for doing this involved major military intervention, and that has produced a generation of resentful, angry, vengeful Muslims who are signing up to sacrifice their lives for Jihad faster than we can hunt them down. It has become increasingly clear that peace cannot be gained by taking the fight all over the globe - and there is historical precedent for this. An overextended empire contributed to the fall of the Roman empire. They could not keep the barbarian hordes from infiltrating their culture and the empire crumbled. The same could happen here.
I believe the key to a lasting peace begins with option two. As industry weans itself off of foreign-born natural resources, we can retract our sphere of influence and keep our hand out of their affairs. Such a dramatic policy shift would signal a retreat of sorts, and would enable us to circle the wagons here at home where we need to toughen up our defenses anyhow.
But the byproduct of this is improved global sentiment. The resentment would subside. We would cease to be the "easy" target we are today, viewed as a meddlesome, hegemonist nation with imperialistic dreams. We're easy to hate, and that does not make for a lasting peace.
I appreciate your question, as I would like to see peace, too. I just don't think our nation's current approach is a feasible one.

by getting our asses out of the middle east for good and stop trying to control the entire world!!!
why do you think bin laden attacked the US? well, he had legitimate reasons to attack us it's just the way we were attacked was wrong.
to punish the government innocents had to pay the price.
Muslims don't wanna kill all the NON believers!!!! that's a load of crap our government and media have been feeding us with a spoon to support them in their military action in the middle east.
they want us out of their land it's that simple!!!!
on 9/11 Osama Bin Laden the leader of AlQaida attacked the US economy by hitting the world trade center and the attack resulted in killing 3000 American civilian.
what was the reason for this?? Osama's organization was made, trained and funded by the US government in the 1980s
and he was a huge investor in MANY US corporations!!!
he had no problems with Americans before the 1st gulf war!!!!
after the 1st gulf war ended the US stayed in Saudi Arabia and many other middle east countries. American military bases are all over the middle east and south west Asia.
the constant support and military aid of Israel plus staying in the middle east was the ONLY REASON for AlQaida to start attacking the US wherever they can attack them. they started by bombing embassies, military bases, military compounds, Navy ship, and finally the WTC. they want us out they consider us an enemy.
it's all political but as you know they are radical religious group so they will always bring god's name in the process. they are not fighting to please god they are fighting to please their own EGO!!!!

well, i don't "want nothing but peace", but i don't want this war either. i am not the president. i don't have access to his resources or intelligence, therefore i can't be certain he is making mistakes... but i don't feel that his actions have led to more stability in the middle east. i feel that israel's actions with lebanon were inspired by our invasion of iraq, and they make me more nervous as people begin to pound the drums for war with syria and iran.
i do not think it is true that all muslims, or even most muslim nations want to kill the non-believers. i believe most people in most countries are like most of us and just want to go to work and send their kids to school and have somewhere to live. right now we have an opportunity to show them that diplomacy works. we can be moved by sinioria's tears and call israel back from her madness. do you not think they would be grateful?

You are doing a very stupid amalgamate between muslims and islamist extremists.
With such amalgamates, wars in the world will never end.
No, Muslims don't want to kill the non-beleivers, only extremists want it.
