I'm not a democrat but I honestly don't think there can be much gained by insulting or making threats toward anyone. I mean if someone insults or threatens me it instantly puts an end to what could be a productive conversation. There has been way to much bashing going on from both sides and I am not innocent on this. I think it's about time people, especially our elected officials, start thinking more about the good of our country and not the good of the left or the right, Republican or Democrat. Sometimes when people are in disagreement they are utterly overwhelmed that the other person is so stupid that they can't see the point. Usually both are right just in different ways. I think we can all agree that war is bad. Sadly it's a necessary evil sometimes. I'm sure Bush wishes his poll numbers were better. I'm sure he knows the war is a big part of why they are low. He obviously believes what he is doing is the right thing. I think people in this country need to put aside their differences for awhile and realize that we are all Americans afterall and considering the blessings we have in this country maybe we should try to appreciate each other a little more. We are all in this together, we all rely on each other to some extent, and it would be a good thing if we could share our blessings with others in the world. I think we all could learn more if we would start listening to each other more. Thanks excellent question.

I have never or would I ever make a threat towards GWB,that's stupid and illegal.
Its very difficult not to insult a person that is such an easy target. But if it helps put your mind at ease I will behave my self...After all it does get old reading about him in every other question I see.
Some of the remarks made by the republicans are very very distasteful to me when made about JFK and Bill Clinton and about liberals.
Think Blue in mid term elections, get out and vote and Win in 2008

Well, it is important to know the difference between political insult, irony, parody, slander, criticism which is virtually wide open in America as a matter of history. I understand that what we do today in this regard is rather mild compared what used to be the standard back in the 1920's and1930'.
Like when George W. Bush said, "your either for us or against us!" I don't think most America's thought he meant that literally. In fact, I will bet you that the future President of Iran did not even think George W. Bush meant that, did you?
I mean if the future President of Iran thought George W. Bush actually thought he meant those words literally, I bet you he would be insulting George W. Bush right back to his face today. What do you think?
In fact, I am absolutely certain that the present President of Iran did not think that George W. Bush meant it when Bush called Iraq, Iran and North Korea the "Axis of Evil."
Will, when you think about it, I guess those were some mean and inappropriate words.

You can not be a democrat and ask this question. They think that you should threaten the president. Heck they have even gone as for as mentioning assassination at one time or another.
You sound more like an independent or a Conservative. Heck you might be a Republican that is more centrist. You have too much common since to be a democrat though

Just using our freedom of speech bud. I don't think people are making serious threats to the president on this board...I do agree that it makes the opposing party not listen to democrats, but there are people like that on both sides, ex. Pres. Chimp or John Skerry.

You can insult but never threaten. Threats are when it gets creepy, because you never really know who's just that unstable.
Now, wouldn't it be great if this guy calling himself "the right way" learned how to read, comprehend, and answer a question?

You are absolutely correct. The Democrats have an important ally...REALITY. We don't need to resort to name-calling. We only need to discuss the issues in a frank and honest manner. Americans know things are on the wrong track. We need to prove to the vast majority of people who don't have a strong party preference that we are the party to get us back on the right track. Honest discussion of the facts is the only tool we need.

It is never right to make threats toward any president, but it is ok to criticize his policy's. Even his demeanor as he is a public person. I personally can't stand what he is doing to this country. And besides remember what the repuke's did to Clinton probably the best president, in over 40 years.

Have you personally known of anyone here who has made threats against Bush? Have you got proof?
I think the man has very little morals but he is still our president and I respect the office, if not the man.
So, if you know of anyone in Yahoo who has made threats please let us know and they will be reported. Not only that, they can expect a visit very soon from the FBI.

Insults yes. Threat no.
I also don't feel Dem's should participate in extreme partisanship. We lose credibility when we argue against every single thing that the President says or does.
