I was on antibiotics for a UTI and I stopped them last week. I was supposed to get my period on Sunday. Im on birthcontrol and I still had unprotected sex while on the antibiotics. I was on BC for six months. Then got off for three months. Then just got back on with this pack i just now finished. Im not sure whats going on. If you read my previous question also, maybe you could help with both. Thanks.

Be very careful when taking antibiotics on when taking BCs. tetracycline can cancel out the pill.. I know that's how I got pregnant with my now 8 year old.. I would be more concerned about having unprotected sex when just getting back on the pill.. you should wait a full month before having unprotected sex that way the cycle is fully in your system.. wait a few more days then I would call your Dr. It could just also be your body adjusting to being back on the pill.
Good Luck!!

Antibiotics cancel the effects of the pill....The dr who gave you the antibiotics shouldve told you that, or it says this on the pharmacy packaging.

antibiotics and BC could be taken with an interval ofcourse...but there is no wrong about having them both...BC is a water soluble tablet..drink enough water.visit your obgyne to be sure...no worries if your period doesnt come on time...it's because you went off with BC..and get on again..your body is adjusting.
