I think we should be able to petition our government either as a individual or on behalf of the company we work for or group but I think money or favors of any kind should be very illegal, all business should be above board and public just no money involved. Just think those with the most money get it all their way in our present buy your local politician system.

I think corporations should be prevented from exercising rights as a citizen. Only individuals should have that right.

Lobbying in its present form is nothing more than grandiose bribery. And the politicians who succumb to the power and influence of lobbyists are nothing but common whores.

Politicians have long ago forgotten that they're supposed to be public servants. Our U.S. Constitution begins with three very important words: 'We the People....'
It does NOT say, 'We the special interests...'
or 'We the wealthy elitists...'
or 'We the lobbyists...'
or 'We the corporations...'

The current U.S. Congress is the most evil, incompetent, corrupt body ever to occupy the Capitol Building. Every member of Congress, along with every member of the Bush administration, should be tried for high crimes against humanity and high treason against the United States of America. If convicted, they should all face a public firing squad.

It's no wonder Americans find Congressional 'leaders' so contemptible. But, as long as "we the people" don't get off the couch, put down the remote, and do something to change our gluttonous political system, politicians will continue to suck off the taxpayers' teat.

So politicians keep us pre-occupied with such trivial issues such as flag burning and gay marriage. And we keep ourselves focused on our maxxed-out credit cards; $3.50-a-gallon fuel for our $60,000 SUVs; Britney Spears' love life; professional land-scaping for our $300,000 houses; "low prices - everyday" at WalMart for junk we don't even need; the latest rankings of our favorite NASCAR drivers; and Jacko's pedophilia.

The Constitution allows us to bear arms against a tyrannical and oppressive government, and that's exactly what the U.S.A. has become. It's time for a second American revolution, where we actually take up arms and fight for our freedom. That's what our founding fathers did; that's what we must do.

Thomas Jefferson said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." That time is way overdue. -RKO-

I think that no lobbying should be allowed. Why? Because it makes the one with the largest wad of cash the one that speaks the loudest, and the one that gets what they want. Our government system should not be based on money. It should be based on the views of the ones that got the person elected to hold the office. And they should then vote the way their voters want. Not the way their leader wants, or the way bfcompany wants them to vote to help their best interests.

So I guess I agree with you and your view. . .
