Married people how many of you get along with your in laws

I get along with my in-laws well...because whatever decisions i make i consult them and they respect me...and the same way with them..its just a give and take basis.. =)

I get along with my father-in-law, as long as I don't go to his house. He has too many cats. But I can't stand his 4th wife so I have learned to make nice they are only at my house for a short time. My mother-in-law lives 7hrs away and only see her about 2x's a year. Who could't get along for a few hours a couple times a year.

I can answer that both ways for ya...my last marriage we did not get along at all but we had never met in person either that may have something to do with it. But my current in laws are great and I did get to meet them in person. So maybe first impressions are a good thing.

At first I didn't get along with my mother-in-law, but as the years pasted we became close.

My brother in law fed my 6 month old daughter McDonald's just to make me mad. He has spoken only minimal words to me in the 8 years I have been with his brother. The entire family pretends that he doesn't do it (including my husband). When I confront anyone in his family about his behavior they say it makes him sad that his baby brother got married. What an a**, grow up and get over it.

I get along with all my in-laws, and they all get along with each other. I get along with my family as well.

Not many. Its politics not relationship. I bet that if the daughter and mother inlaw have met in any other situation except via marriage, they could have been friends. But in a marriage situatio, there is too much politics. Under current and unspoken reservations.

My husband gets along great with my mom and dad. I get along great with my husband's dad. His mom and me have had some problems in the past. But we are getting along good now.

I get along well with my in-laws, although they are my ex-in-laws now. I talk to them/see them more often than my ex.
