How To Rid Your Home Of Mice ?

Im moving into an old farm house and there is mice everywhere, Has anyone trid the plug in things that hurt there ears so they will stay away ? Im a dog breeder so I cant use bait.

chances are if it was empty they took over and will leave once peopel move in. eliminate any food source. try and find out where they are coming in so u can block the hole. check under your sink for holes. they have hav- a-hart traps which catch them so u can take them down the street to the woods somewhere instead of killing them. u set one when u go to bed & check immediately the next morning. dont forget about them though because they will suffocate if left there too long. make sure theyre closed when not in use. if u just kill them which is mean others will still keep coming back. u have to find their entrance and block it. if its an odd shape steel wool will work. sometimes strong scents such as cayenne pepper, moth balls, or peppermint extract will work because they hate the smell.

What sort of dogs do you have I used to have a mini foxy cross she was the best mouser . my parents had wire haired long haired dashounds they were the same or have you tried a cat or even a little jack russel make the best mousers

I get a mouse once in awhile and have tried the plug in things, they dont work!
For a few, mouse traps work good but you may need a exterminator.

use glue traps, the electronic things would make your dog insane too. glue traps, cat pee, and dont leave any sort of food around or clothing in piles so they dont have food or shelter.

exterminate like for ants. move somwhere their is less mice around
