I want to join an online petition to cancel Mr. Meaty, but I don't want to give out my personal info. Like I said, the title sounds like the creators came up with it during their lunch break.

www.care2.com is a great site. they have a link to their petition site where you just have to enter your address and name.

I understand your desire to be careful about giving out personal info. In the wrong hands it could get you in trouble. Some kinds of surveys keep track of ip's as a way to make sure that nobody is stuffing the ballot box by putting in a lot of votes themselves, or putting in fake identities.
But when we decide to make our opinions officially known, then we are expected to identify ourselves in some way... we sign petitions so that the recipients can confirm later that it is not forged or anything.

They want the social security number as a way to make sure the signers are legit. This kind of survey may not want that but will use your email for junk mail.

i agree with you. i saw the commercial and i no good from bad before i watch. that's worse than prank yankers. but in fake stuff that's how.
