Be very careful with antibiotics and Birth Control. Certain antibiotics make your Birth Control not work, so unprotected sex while on the antibiotic is a bad idea. You may want to go get a pregnancy test.

Did the Dr not tell you antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of bc, to make sure to practice safe sex while taking the antibiotics and if you were to get pregnant you will be causing severe damage to the unborn child?
If the doctor did tell you this and you still had unprotected sex while on antibiotics & bc, then I'd say UR A MORON!

Antibiotics will decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. The best thing to do is to check with your doctor, even with normal birth control pills, if you're having unprotected sex the risk of getting a pregnancy is much, much higher. The best thing to do is to have protected sex while on the pill. Also, if you had a UTI, you are at a much higher risk of contracting STIs, which is why having protected sex is a much better idea. Check with your doctor if you're really concerned.

Well I am not sure what exactly you are asking but I do know that certain antibiotics will interfere with BC because my cousin just had a baby because she did not know that and got sick and the antibiotics she was taking made her BC not work and she got preg so I would check that out.

it's possible you are pregnant as antibiotics can reduce the efficiency of birth control pills...but it's also possible that your body is still adjusting..you said this was your first pack since you started back on BC? your cycle could be out of whack until it adjusts back to the hormones.
If in doubt, take a pregnancy test and/or see your OBGYN ...especially if your period hasn't started by the time you need to start your next pack.
