Been a long time since someone on here called me a mother. I'm so lucky!

Hmmmm......can she teach me? I mean......right ..right...helping her stop. *cough*

Give her the all knowing "eye." You know the one I mean. She makes a slick move and you pick up on it........and she looks up at you and your eye brow raises.....your head tilts and one corner of your lip curves up in a slight coy grin. She'll know you know!! And she'll hide it.

How is a 5 year old playing poker? If this is a real question...It's not that big of a deal. Kids that young don't really have a good concept of right and wrong. The next time you're playing, ask her a question about cheating and get her to admit it. Then explain why it's wrong.

what is a 5 year old doing playing poker.... should she not be outside playing with her friends and her dolls..... and as far as cheating goes, that is wrong and you being a mother know its wrong and this should be addressed immediately.......anytime a child is doing something that is wrong, ex cheating, stealing, lying.... etc... these issues should be addressed and not left unattended so that the child thinks they have one over on you...

Is she winning when she's cheating? If so, don't hinder her talent by disciplining her. Do tell her it's not the right to cheat at any game she plays, but if she's winning- she's got some talent.

although I can't think of an answer better than hippie's.
i think you should tell her that you know she's cheating and tell her it takes the fun out of any game (mastermind included) when you don't earn your victory and also it's unfair for the person playing it straight.
(giver her some Catholic guilt, hahaha) God is watching. Thou shalt not cheat.

of course you should tell her if you can tell that she is cheating then she needs to step up her game....cause as long as you aren't getting caught you ain't cheating. how do you expect her to become a card shark if you don't help her improve her skills???
