And while we're at it, lets do a survey! Type 1 if you're under 18, 2 if you are between 18 and 25, 3 if you are from 26 to 39, 4 if you are from 40 to 55, and 5 if above that. I'm a 2 by the way, the low end.

j walking is simply walking across the street where there is no cross walk or designated crossing area. If you have ever seen people running across the high way or walking along the median- that is j-walking. (Dont worry it doesn't really apply on small streets.) It sounds ridiculous, but you can actually get fined for it. (1)

Crossing the street ignoring the rules (cross at the corner and at the green, not in between) is considered J walking.

Jaywalking is crossing the street at a place other than the corner. In cities, it's illegal, although it's not often enforced. I'm in age category 4.

Jay Walking is walking across the road without being in a cross walk. Very stupid because not all streets have crosswalks.
