Looking in the mirror I see a smile that proves this body was created or evolved to consume flesh. The front teeth are sharp, designed for ripping and tearing.Plant eaters have no such teeth. They only have flat teeth, similar to our rear teeth for chewing.
Plus,if we weren't meant to eat meat we would probably not find it so damned yummy.Just like cats don't eat vegetables. They don't like the taste because they're not engineered to eat them.
As for health...we need protein, but as a sentient species we should probably do more to limit out fat intake. It doesn't help that we pollute our environment. The cowz an' piggies eat up the slop we pump out,and it ends up right back in us after we eat them!
As for environmental issues.....we are our own worst enemy. We've gotten too good at survival, and as a consequence there are too many of us.That requires mega-resources and land to keep us all fed, whether it be meat or veg.Hell....there are a lot of us who starve to death!
Moral issues?.....Raise'em comfortably, kill'em quickly and humanely.Take only what you need, share the rest.Noooooooo problem.I have no moral issues when it comes to fueling my body with the resources on which it was desinged to run!

I stopped eating animals years ago. My issue is the rotten lives these animals live before they are painfully put to death. Factory farming is at its worst right here in America. Imagine a crowded elevator and you cannot wait to get off as you cannot even turn around. Imagine this is your life until you are put to death. Imagine all the disease that would spread quickly among yourself and the people in there with you. No place to ever relax and lay down if you want. Now imagine cows and other animals that live that way and then some people eat them. That cannot be healthy! This is one random link of many;

Animals are chemically fed (antibiotics, hormones) that does trickle down to the consumer, who then eats the meat. Yes, you who thinks they live a fairy tale life before being sent to slaughter!

Think about all the waste made from factory farming and sure you might say fertilizer, with antibiotics, hormones and other by products in it? What are we doing to our environment?

I could go on and on. Yes there may be a few organic farmers and a few who take good care of their stock. Still they are usually sold and die a horrible death. But at the end of the day, I just have to ask myself, why do I want to put dead flesh into my mouth? I DONT! I do not preach to others, as you all should make your own decision. But you asked, so I decided to answer. My husband is a meat eater. Myself and our daughter are not. There are a variety of protein sources without eating the flesh of a dead animal.

At one time I was a dead flesh eater. Then I started thinking for myself and educating myself. My daughter followed suit several years later. Think for yourself. Peace.

Yes- healthwise, the only benefit meat has is Protien, which you can get from numerous other source. Moral- killing is wrong, so why is eating the murdered right? Environmental- they are destroying the rainforests to create more land to raise meat on- not good, man. Of course, I'm a vegetarian and former supporter of PETA, so I have a biased opinion.

Forget about stop eating animals, does no one care about the rights of fruits and vegetables. I mean they get picked on by humans and animals alike. I never hear anyone speak up about the poor plants. Animals have rights but plants don't, that's a bunch of bs. No I don't think we should stop eating animals I mean that's what they are there for, just like plants. If we dont' stop eating animals that also leads to enviromental problems like overpopulation of animals and we can't kill them because that's unethical that's just stupid come on now. Eat plants, eat animals, they have a purpose. There is this whole ecosystem thing where there are predators and prey and we are predators although sometimes prey but we need to remain predators in order to help balance out the ecosystem.

I think we should continue to eat animals, it is a natural part of the food chain for us to eat animals if we didn' the balance would be thrown off cause a surplus of animals eaten be humans and a major decrease in animals and plants eaten by them. Although we should maybe eat less and always make sure the meat is properly cooked and not treat the animals badly.

Cattle? Yes. Beef and dairy products are pretty well proven to be less than healthy. Fish and Chicken? No... they're mostly good for you. Morally? Only to help keep health costs down. Health? Healthier population. Environment? We don't need so many cattle because they emit noxious gases. Fish and Chicken are healthier for the environment.

'nuff said?

Meat gives you nutrients that you require that other food do not supply. Animals also eat meat, so we should too. The problem is most likey that we eat too much and the population of humans is much too high.

Justify your thesis. What's wrong with eating meat? If you study evolution and the such, our teeth show that we're omnivores, since we have both sharp teeth and flat teeth. Then there's survival of the fittest, and so on. I don't see what's wrong.

Quite simply....HELL NO!!!

Just look at the cows as you go by....See the hate in their eyes. They would kill us all in a second if we gave them the chance. We must eat them or they will destroy us and take over the world. And what kind of world would that be....They don't even have opposable thumbs.

I'd rather eat chicken and fish instead of red meat because it's healthier.

But we should all eat more vegetables and fruits though.
