Yes, there is lots of swimming as the pools at the resorts have become a real source of entertainment
But there is also great shopping (Caesars Forum shops are a good place to begin) delicious food, a trip to Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon and there are Spas for everyone ....everywhere
Stay hydrated and enjoy the fun.

TONS!!! If you are staying at the hotel/casino the pools are HUGE. NYNY, Sahara and Circus Circus have roller coasters, Circus Circus has an amusement park indoors. There is M&M's world, millions of shops....Vegas just isnt at night...there is more to do during the day than at night.

www.vegas.com check out this site, it has all the info. I lived in Vegas for almost a year, and if you rent a car, take a drive to the Hoover Dam, its not far and a beautiful drive.

There are afternoon shows with comedy, magic, impersonators, hypnosis, music & dancing. You can see the Liberace Museum, the Titanic Exhibition, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, the Lion Habitat, Sigfried & Roy's Secret Garden/Dolphin Habitat, or Shark Reef. There are simulator/3D rides at Luxor and Hilton (Star Trek) and Sahara. There are roller coasters and other rides at Circus Circus, and the Carnival in the Sky show at the Rio. And if you do nothing else, you must sightsee at Caesars, the Venetian, Luxor and New York New York. What is there to do...?!

The most common daytime activity in Vegas is sleep. You've got to recover from the night before.

Shopping, movies, walk the strip, go to the aquarium, visit other casinos, have a massage, sleep in, order room service, take a drive around the city. There's lots to do, even if it's hot.
