Powdered milk doesn't "go bad" very quickly; it won't give baby a stomach ache. However, some of the vitamins in the formula have a maximum life span. In the worst case, a baby could suffer malnutrition, in particular scurvy. It is not fun and not something to mess with. However, that is only likely if you are using expired formula exclusively for a long time and probably only if it is *long* expired since there is a built-in margin of error.

Nothing so everyone chill out. The government hands out expired goods to needy people all the time. If you do not use it do not toss it ,donate it. The expiry date is a guideline the shops must follow to make sure the goods are fresh when sold. They last longer than the date, that is just the last day it can be sold. More than a year then you can toss it, unless it is powder it will last much longer. Hope that helps. Another bit of advice "If in Doubt throw it out" But to calm your worries ask a nurse or physician ~A~

You will probably give your baby an upset stomach just as you would get from drinking milk that is out of date. Babies do not have the immune system that adults do so you always have to be more careful with them. Always check the dates on all formula and baby foods--never use any out of date. It might not hurt your baby--but would it be worth that chance if it did??????????

Wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry? Don't use it. If you are broke or desperate and determined to use it then return it to the store and tell them it was expired when you brought it home yesterday. Exchange it.
