The place looks very nice and the buffet is fabulous. Even if you do have to wait 15 minutes or so to eat (Fri. & Sat. Night anyway). You should enjoy it!!

It is one of the nicer, older places in Vegas.
Personally, for the same price you can stay at newer, slightly nicer places (Paris, Alladin, Monte Carlo, NYNY) -- but if you have already paid for the Flamingo -- you won't be disappointed.
If you are still open to suggestions -- the MGM Grand would be nearly the same price as the Flamingo and there is far more kid-friendly stuff there (amusement park, animal exhibits, kid-related restaurants, etc).
The Flamingo hotel is nicely remodeled. The waterfalls and pool area is very nice. As many have said, the buffet is great. Breakfast will be a treat too.
Have a great time in Vegas -- either way -- with your kids.

I really liked it. The bird habitat is nice and you can watch them feed the penguins and other birds. The pools are really pretty, and the buffet has a gorgeous view. And it's location makes it easy to walk to Caesars, Mirage, Venetian, etc. Make sure you visit the Margaritaville restaurant; it has a tropical beach theme with amazing decor, music and a gift shop!
