Is yao ming is your person to admire?and why?

Yes because his skill is well round. His shooting distance start from low post, dunking until 3 pointer.

He is the role model of the other center, especially for the Shaq and Big Ben. Yao represent that being a top center should have no weakness. High FT% is included

Not really... As a center, he's really BIG, but he doesn't use his height as much as he could. He isn't very strong and let's other guys, some of them only like 6'4", push him around. Yeah he can dunk, but he has no jump. The only reason he can dunk is because he only has to jump 4 inches off the ground. As for his shot, it's better than Big Ben or Shaq, but really, it's not that good. Especially compared to other big men like Pao Gasol. His freethrows are okay. He's definately one of the top big guy free throw shooters. His team however is not doing well. He's supposed to be the guy stepping up and leading the team since T-Mac has been injured most of the season in some way or another. He hasn't been the leader that he could be. So statistic wise, he hasn't been that good. He does look like he's improving.

I know it is probably different for him because he's Asian, but he's not the only foreign guy and I think a lot of the rest are doing better than him. There are many European in the league that are doing excellent, and Manu Ginobli is great.

Yao Ming still might get better though so who knows how he'll be compared to the other players. He's not old yet. I don't think he's that great.
