I do and i cannot find any relief, im taking oxycontin 3 times a day and that doesnt even help. any suggestions.

Amitriptyline/Elavil usually at about 100 mg doses can work. Higher doses cause side effects though. Fentanyl patches work sometimes. It depends why you have the neuropathy. It may be a side effect from another med you're on that could be switched to something else.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that.

I recently had a bout of shingles on my face and scalp. It traveled down to my right eye. My doctor was concerned I would develop herpetic neuropathy and was also concerned the virus would get into my optic nerve. Luckily it was caught in time (knock on wood).

I have heard of doctors prescribing certain anti-depressants - I am skeptical about efficacy.
