A commedian asked this of his audience once: You are given a magic coin and told to flip it. If it came up heads you would get anything you wanted this moment, riches, beauty, good health, youth, etc. However, if it came up tails, you'd drop dead on the spot. Would you flip the coin?

I don't know the comedian's name, but he had a one man show called "Only The Truth is Funny." He told of his childhood fo being sexually and physically abused and through it all, as an adult, he is able to look at life in a positive light. The question was just hypothetical. Thanks for your replies.

I'd flip it. I don't fear death.

I wouldn't flip it. It would be very easy to say no. It's like risking your life for the simple things in life that don't really matter. I have a great family, that's all the riches I need. I feel that I am beautiful, that's all the beauty I need. I feel that I am in good enough health and I have chosen what is unhealthy in my life, if you don't live a little then well..............., and youth well I'm only 22 so I think I have a lot of growing up to do. If you were to look at things in this kind of aspect then you would have no problem saying no to the question.

I very much doubt I would trust that either possibility would really happen. But since I don't know what the guy has in mind (with the things that happen these days), I'd most likely abstain from flipping the coin.

I would ask that the coin be given to me tails up before I were to flip it. Once in my hand I would kindly flip the coin over with the other hand and then guess what?

I would flip it! I don't fear death because it is instant death. Plus I know that I am going to die sometime in my life anyways. My life is crap so far so why not give it a 50/ 50 chance to make it better? Besides all that, why would a comedian have a "magical coin"...

Is the comedian selling coins? Are audience members that stupid to believe something will actually happen as a result of a coin toss? That, in itself is hilarious.

A comedian is not a magician.

If the audience answered yes, so what?

And if the audience answered no, what then?

What does the comedian aim to achieve from asking such a question?

I wouldn't flip it. You can change anything that you want to in your life if you put your mind and soul towards it and let nothing get in your way.

I don't need a coin.

I'd flip it if it was heads on both sides.

I have three kids who need me right now.
I'd have to decline the offer to be there for them.
