Depends on what you've heard about it. Bottom line is, there is no easy button in a marriage and you will most certainly have to always work on your relationship. And there is, without a doubt, responsibilities to uphold. The best thing you get in return is your loved one.

if you are with the right person, and you both work as a team to make it last, then yes, it can be the greatest thing in the world. Then if you are fighting and miserable, and don't get along, it is hell
