Push yourself! IK i have been starting on the varsity softball team at my school since I was in 8th grade so believe me i have learned to take the conditioning very serious because it can help the performance of your game. As for dealing with it gradually start to run on your own away from practice as well but you need to be strick with yourself and push yourself to do better every time you run. What ever you do don't give up and NEVER quit. It will come to you don't get frustrated.

Just tell yourself that's the price you pay for success. Nothing's free and in sports or anything, for that matter, it takes work to be your best and reach your full potential.
A few years back, Tiger Woods was criticized for not attending a memorial for golfer Payne Stewart when he died suddenly during a tournament. All the other golfers went, but Tiger stayed behind to practice. He was criticized for it, but they couldn't deny his determination & focus. Of course, Tiger went on to win and all was quickly forgotten & forgiven.
My point is, you gotta do what it takes to win and if running is the requirement, do it. Don't ask why or dare to complain. This is the journey that will get you to your goal. Enjoy it! Think of the end result and it will make running easier. Good luck and have fun out there! : )
And drink plenty of water!

I played softball in college. And our coach would get soooooooooo angry at us and make us run from foul pole to foul pole in the outfied. I HATE running, but after doing it so often, we got used to it. Plus, I loved playing, so I just buckled down and dealt with the running we always had to do. It definitely helped with conditioning us so that we were in shape come the regular season.

i say " keep your head up and think of something totally oposite of running. it helped me in volleyball"
