Well, more like a young adult. I don't remember much, but only that the main character of the book was a girl. It turns out that she is a fairy and has a tattoo on her body in the shape of a crown...and there's some animal, or cat, or something (the 'bad guy') trying to find her to make give up her birthright. Anyone know what this may be? I don't know the author or anything. HELP!

I'm trying to think what year this was....um, 1986-1988 maybe? I remember she was in school, and she had to beware of a 'cat with gold eyes'. I don't know why this popped in my head, but I know my daughter would LOVE to have me read it to her! I remember she had 'friends' who knew who she was and they 'protected' her in a big house that she was bored in, except when she went to school.

Sounds like a good book. Try Barnes and noble. I always do an advanced search with them and get good results.
