Honey, artists live to be banned, it's fabulous publicity!

Yes, during my wild nightclub years, I have had to ban quite a few stars whose egos got the better of them. Many times you learn to write it off and attribute the behaviour towards drunkenness or being high. I never finked. Most times, because you were so discreet and known to forgive those embarrassing moments, some would apologize. Others would not remember. Some would be too embarrassed to remember and since my official policy was to forget the incidents when we closed our doors, even the members of the press who witnessed those incidents knew that publication of such events might involve revocation of their membership.

Never - When I was younger I did not agree with John Wayne's views but enjoyed his movies Just as today I disagree vehemently with Toby Keith and Mel Gibson but their talent is so overwhelming that I would not miss their work ( of course the Dixie Chicks I banned - but that was just because I think they are so very untalented and mundane)

No. Their art has nothing to do with their personal lives. It must be separated.

Examples of great artists who had controversial lifestyles, political views, sexual inclination, etc:

Wagner
Paul Gauguin
Modigliani
Truman Capote
Verlaine
Rimbaud
Oscar Wilde
Picasso
Rodin
Frida Kahlo
Diego Rivera
and many others

yes, there was an artist that I listened to who followed a cult. I destroyed the music I had of theirs. Kinda harsh, but that's how I feel.

Artists should never be banned they should be aloud to express themselves freely and be appreciated or critiqued unbiasedly!
