It just amazes me how many "intellectual" liberals think negotiating with terrorists will work. Israel tried it for years and Hezbollah just rearmed. What will take for these lib fools to wake up, or do they just hate America? Saddam funded suicide bombers in Palestine, threatened the USA, and Iraqis did attack us (WTC '93 regardless of what the ignoramuses say on the left.) They call defending America warmongering. The Moore clan (democrats) were even b!tching about the war in Afghanistan. So, why are democrats so weak on defense. With Lieberman gone as a democrat, this shows how much cowardice and intolerance has filtered into the DNC. Oh for the courage of JFK in a democrat. They'd be calling JFK a warmonger for standing up to Russia in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The problem is that the Democratic party has become so radical that it has completly abandoned its onld principles and ideals. It has become a party of radical liberals instead of the old moderate party.

They are pro-gay marriage, they are pro-killing babies (abortion), they are anti-war, they are anti-American.

It's true, any of the great Presidents of old would be blasphemed as warmongers by every member of the DNC if they were in Bush's position. The new Democrats are more concerned with one-upping Republicans than they are with actually doing what is best for America.

They are weak on defense because Republicans are strong on defense. No matter if it is good or not, the Democrats are instantly against whatever the Republicans are for. They are staunch partisanists, and they are weak on many issues simply because they don't want to agree with the Republicans on anything.

Just look at Joe Lieberman. He agrees with the Republicans on one issue, and the whole Democratic party crucifies him for it. It's sad partisan politics, and it's ripping our beloved America apart

First of all Democrats are not weak on defense just because they are against a war with people who did not attack us. If the war had stayed in Afghanistan and they kept looking for Bin Laden, no one would have complained. Even Bush and Rummy now admit there were NO WMDs. So why have all these innocent people died?. If Bush really wants to keep terrorism on foreign lands, then why are we not doing something about protecting our own boarders?.
And as far as Sadam goes......"Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush wanted Iraq for a place to build a permanent base in the oil-rich Middle East." Most notably, the Bush administration campaigned the American people and Congress for an illegal, preemptive war against Iraq with fabricated bogus intelligence of Saddam's WMDs and connection to 9/11.

The Iraq War was in the works as far back as 1998. At that time, the current Vice President, Sec. of Defense and other Bush aides as well as brother Jeb lobbied Congress and President Clinton for a more aggressive foreign policy in which an already weakened Iraq would be conquered and colonized to become a sphere of U.S. military dominance with four U.S. bases in the oil-rich Middle East. The war was discussed during Bush's first days in office at which time Rumsfield declared that a Pearl Harbor was needed to sell it to the American people. Then, just by eerie coincidence, the World Trade Center was struck by planes and subsequently felled by somebody so that terrorism could become the subterfuge for the long sought-after war. Now, Bush is risking setting afire all of the Middle East by his passive toleration of the Israeli/Hizballah conflict.
There is so much more to all of this then just that the democrats are soft on defense. Please, dig around the news on the web and read both sides. Don't let anyone telll you what to believe til YOU get all of the facts. Investigative journalism isn't what it used to be.

Yes, I think too many people think we're safe and free forever. Kinda dumb when you realize how quickly something can travel thousands of miles to attack you.
One flu virus in 1918 killed thousands, and that wasn't even on purpose!
The only answer to war is victory or surrender, but with today's media sucking up to any exposure, show a few dead people and a million will want to stop the violence.
Especially the oil people who get very scared every time Israel starts to show its muscle, nu?

The yellow brightly colored damnocrats love and enjoy( almost to the point of abuse ) the freedom that our great military has fought and died to up hold. These same yellow damnocrats would rather make a nation of dependent, self-loathing people, and blame the government for their failures by funding so called social programs rather than providing the means of keeping our military strong.

North Korea has built, tested and maintains nuclear weapons, Iran is building nuclear wepons we haven't invaded them, The Hijackers on 9/11 were Saudi not Iraqi, No WMD's were ever found in Iraq, The Iraqi' people don't want our democracy it doesn't work for us why force it upon them, Their civizilation was thriving long before Europe was inhabited.

On the other hand George Bush has taken a strong nation and polarized it against the world, Whines about terrorism but not only does not seal our borders but proposes to sell it's harbor security to his friends and true backers of Al Quaeda the Saudi's, cost us billions of dollars in an illegal and immoral war, the true pinch of the present fuel crisis has not hit yet, everything in America moves by truck when the cost of their fuel increases finally hit America will have only two classes the rich and poor because he is destroying the middle class.

And the same warmongering republicans who call democrats weak rarely serve in our militaries take note.............
