hi i live in canada, i bought a new toshiba laptop. it has 1 yr of manufacturer parts and labour warrranty. but my worst fear about my laptop is accidental damage. i contaced tohsiba for any isurance for that ..they have one but its very expensive though and i have to pay one payment all together to them ....does anybody know if any laptop insurance which cover accidental damage and i can pay them little amount every month just like any other insurance.

Fixing laptops is honestly not that hard, the biggest issue tends to be keyboards and screens. You can buy replacements- usually on eBay for around 100 bucks save your money back up your data as suggested above and ask for help online if and when it breaks someone is likely to help you for nothing.

I don't know if Canadian insurance companies do things differently, but in the U.S. you can add personal possessions (laptops included) to your homeowners policy as a rider for farely little additional cost. However, I believe your fear lies in data loss... No insurance can cover that - invest in a good CD or DVD burner and do regular backups of your data. Hardware replacement is cheap - data loss can be crippling.

Save you money. The price of laptops drops all the time and insurance is so expensive.

Take a chance - just be careful.
