How to recover data from dead hard drive?

I have a dead hard drive, it can be detectable in BIOS. But when I get into windows, it didn't show up on "My computer", .
When I went to Device manager and clicked on "Scan for hardware change", this hard drive appear in the Disk Drives list. But still, it didn't show up in "My computer", and my computer went freezing for a while,
After that, I go to Disk Management Console (Right click on My computer - Manage - Disk Management), it didn't appear in the list.

How can I recover my important data back ? Thank you all in advance.

How important is it? You need professional help for your disk, and it's not cheap.

if that is the master hard drivecheck that the jumpers on the back of the hard drive are on master if its a back up hard drive make sure the jumpers are on slave
check your data cable & power cable
restart your pc go back in to bios and set it to auto detect hit the esc key & the f10 key then save settings in bios restart the pc and it should auto detect it
