You should stretch before and after. Before to loosen/ warm up your muscles and decrease the chance of injury. Afterwards to help cool down and help clear any lactic acid from your muscles (which results in soreness).

No. Stretching before and after running have a different purpose, each is more effective and less effective than the other. Do both. Take my word on this. Actually, buy a bicycle, it will not tear you up in the long run.

Both if you have time and are willing to do it. I run but I am never really in the mood to stretch before, so sometimes we stretch after like a mile or so. I find is easier to walk a little, then start jogging, when you're about a mile in, then stop to stretch. and if you want to you can also stretch afterwards.
Good luck with running!!!

After. To avoid injury you want to warm-up doing a mild version of the activity, in the case of running start by walking then jogging. after you are finished running do a cool-down then stretch. If you stretch first you risk over-elongating your muscles and tendons, leading to an indreased risk of injury.

stretching is an important part of running and should be done before AND after. If you dont do it before you are liable to pull a hastring or something and if you dont do it afterwards you can tighten up and loose alot of mobility for an hour to a day

I do a little yoga before I run and when I'm finished I do a couple of basic stretches.

Before definitely.
Afterwards depends on the length of your earlier run.
