if a prospective employer schedules an interview with me & sends me an email stating she wont be there but someone else will help me should i even bother to go? i statred my present job only 1 month ago & i may risk it for this lady who wont be there or should i go? i f itake a day off its unpaid. is this a bad sign she wont even be there, when she was the one who said we will talk more in depth about the position on your interview? i sen ther an email asking her about the position is it was sales or lots of telephone work & thats when she replied she wouldnt be there? is this a bad sing or just a coincidence? will the chances of me getting hired be slimmer since she wont even be there?

you should go especially if this new job is better than the one you have. don't lose an opportunity at getting a better job. just bc she won't be there doesn't mean she isn't interested. she's either going to have someone she trusts interview you or someone higher up(which is even better). you may lose a paid day but take a chance, go for it...good luck...i hope ur interview goes great!

I believe you chances are even better. This happened to me last week actually! I interviewed with someone other than the person I was scheduled with. The person I interviewed with was actually inexperienced at interviewing. I was so nervous about saying the right things, but I basically had a great conversation with the person about the specifics of the job. I got hired right away because my personality was able to shine through and the others did not get that kind of a chance. Consider yourself lucky.
