We killed a big tree on top but now the roots keep sprouting little trees from the roots...Please help

The tree thinks it is still alive abd is trying to reproduce. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy some Stump Killer. You can get the kind that drill holes in the stump and fill with the killer. Or you can get some that you paint on the stump with a brush. They both take a while to kill the tree. They are systemic poisons and as the stump absorbs the and sends it to the roots they willl die.

If you have some concentrated weed killer do this...
Drill a hole in the main stump and poor it straight into the hole. Every so many feet along the root do the same thing.
The concentrated formula should kill the thing dead.
If at all possible buy a formula specially made for shrubs and trees and do this. It'll kill it completely and a whole lot faster.

YOU COULD KILL THE TREE STUMP, WHICH TAKES A LITTLE TIME OR USE WEED AND FEED TO GET RID OF THEM NOW. IT WORKS ON TREE SEEDS THAT SPROUT, TOO.

Try digging aroung the old tree. Then burn it. Stick alot of wood around the bottom of the tree.It will burn and you will have no more sprouts.

Copper Green (actually copper nathanate I think...) Gotta warn you, stinks like hell. It's pretty toxic, it's used as a wood preservative, but will kill any live vegetation.
