Some other person will help walk me thru the interview & testing then should i risk taking a day off unpaid & i only started the job i have now 1 month ago? is this interview likely not to work out for me & a waste of my time, effort & money if the prospective employer wont even be there.

Why are you looking for another job after only a month on a new one? As a person who interviewed people for hiring, I looked at how often they changed jobs. Many lost out if they had had several jobs in two years or less.

If you really want the job, GO to the interview. Maybe this is a test of how flexible you are.

And if you go in with the attitude that you are not getting the job, you will not get it.

Try to reschedule the interview.
