You can collect unemployment in Texas. You need to file first to see if you qualify. The unemployment office will get a statement from you and from your employer. Have your documentation ready (Dr. Notes). If the unemployment is denied you call appeal to the labor board. More than likely you will get the unemployment. I have heard of very few people not getting it. I got unemployment once and I quit the job outright when the company wanted to transfer me to another office that would of taken me an hour to get to.

You look to elevate a large type of issues contained in the info section. to manage the first straightforward question, it truly is positive to understand which state you're in as exertions regulations and unemployment strategies are fairly distinct state to state. if you're at present operating you may no longer be entitled to unemployment insurance (UI). if you're actually not operating and were laid off, then you definately are entitled to unemployment advantages. in case your substantial situation is the benefits, you don't desire an lawyer. You open a declare. The employer can dispute your eligibility. if so you record an attraction which may then be heard in the front of an administrative decide, merely you and the employer could be there, no attorneys. If the employer terminated you, state on the declare for the clarification. in case you've been given something in writing from the employer make confident it truly is in line with what you position on your declare style. Then deliver that to the listening to. For an employer to be disputing something like this they could make certain the reason behind termination is in lines with making the former worker (you) ineligible for UI money (as those are paid for with the help of the employer. that you've been terminated for reason or end on your man or woman. I actually were at any such listening to representing the employer and we gained because the worker falsified their statements and were no longer entitled to assemble UI money. reliable success!

i am not exactly sure about tx but in ga it depends on the reason but you seem to have a good reason. today i went and filed for unemployment because my job said there was no work for the rest of august and i only worked at a temparary agency so the best choice is to go to the career center nearest you and talk to them or call them on the phone they probally will want a seperation notice so good luck

In CT you can collect unemployment if you get fired, so long as it wasn't for something criminal. Texas may have different laws - call the local labor office and ask them.

No. You cannot file for unemployment if you've been fired anything but cutbacks in your industry. You must have been laid off.
