Don't get me wrong it's an awesome game! It's just that when little 5 year old cousin calls me up to brag about his strip club....

Will exposing kids to this cause increased crime rates and all that in the future?

This game does glorify gangs and illegal activities which is wrong for children and they should not be allowed to play it. There's enough low life gang banging idiots destroying peoples lives and tearing the fabric of society apart in the real world as it is. It's irresponsible to promote such violence and stupidity!!!!!

Why in the world does you 5 year old cousin play GTA?

The heck its bad for kids! And how in the world did he get his hands on it? I sound all motherly because I've seen what happened to a 10 year old when his parents (that work most of the day) unknowingly bought him the game.

The kid discovered what the game contained and only played when his parents were not there. I was his neighbor, and he called me over one day to show me how cool the game was. I was surprised at first just at the fact that he'd gotten the game, but was stunned to see how he had changed after a few days of playing the game. He was spending all of his free time, which was a lot, in front of the game playing. The rest of his time, he spent talking about how he was gonna kill the next person with a hummer, and how he was going to glorify his strip club. I have a brother of my own, and I felt guilty of myself for not doing anything about it. And then one day, his mother happened to return a little early from work, and caught him playing a particularly obscene seen. I was lucky I wasn't there. They were loud, or at least she was.

He was sulky and grumpy for a few days, but after a lot of talk, he understood, or at least did a good job pretending to understand. Now imagine a young, developing five year old doing that and nobody stopping him. He would go on to think that it was normal to point a gun at people and steal their cars and go around doing all the other things that GTA offers you to do. I'm not saying that GTA is bad, nor am I saying that everyone follows ESRBs "Mature" warning. Plenty of young, underage teens have played it, but five is much too young. You've gotta do something about your cousin.

Heck YES! I am 15 years old and I choose not to play it, it is just pointless violence, and gangs. It is actually kind of immature, the jokes on the radio stations are not only innapropriate, but childish. The overall game is just stupid, not worth the money, there is also a reason why they DON'T SELL IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!! The newest one is the worst! Tell him to stop playing it, I survive on E and T games and I am 10 years older than the kid! But then again I mainly play racing, and street racing games.

Depends on the type of personality each kid have... A troublemaker? Yes, their's gonna be some problems. A kid who doesn't take things serious. Maybe some problems but it's because they're curious. In the end it depends on how the kid takes the game...

i believe that if you teach your kid that what there playing is a game and that the stuff it "promotes" is actually in the real world, and that there is a differnce between a video game and the real life. but some kids dont get the difference so i would just limit his time on playing it since you already are letting him play it, but then again thats just my opinion, everyone has one you dont have to listen to mine
