I have that same problem. You just have to find out what works for you. I have to get up to go to the bathroom anyway first thing so I just keep going. I try to nap when the baby naps. After my morning bathroom break I brush my teeth while I am in there as well as take a bath. I am usually ready to go afterwards. Hope this helps.

You just had a baby, no wonder you feel like sleeping. That wears anyone out.

Don't get mad at yourself, that's not going to accomplish anything. You might want to make a schedule of what is going to get done first, if you've not already done so. That should help when you wake up.

If you have a friend that is willing to help you, then give them a call. That's what friends are for afterall. You can order pizza after the "cleanup" party.

Just do it. Force yourself to. If you make it a habit--like flossing your teeth every day--it won't bother you anymore. You could give yourself an incentive, like a treat for getting that list done, to get yourself motivated at first. Plus you'll feel better about yourself at the end of the day. Which is positive reinforcemnt in and of itself.

Promise yourself that you will take a nap at a specific time. I used to take the train to work and when I woke up sleepy I would remind myself that I could take a nap on the train and that motivated me to get up and get going.
