Well im not too much of a baseball or softball fan but i do enjoy both. i am going to 9th grade so i have some experience. if i were you i would choose whichever one that you consider more fun. I had tried out for track and i was one of the best there. I was the second fastest runner and the best at long distance. My record for the 55 meter dash is 4.96 seconds. My record for the mile or the 1500 meter run is 4 minutes and 37 seconds. I can tell you that track is a very good exercise sport. At the beginning of track your legs may not be used to the intense running so ur legs will hurt for a little while. I had experience with that. You see the more your run the more your muscles in your legs will tear and be repaired by your cells using proteins. This makes your legs stronger and you will easily adapt to the running soon enough. So if it were my decision i would join track. But then again it depends what you like better. Remember to make the right decision and if you dont like it then quit it and join the other if you can. Well this is my advice. Bye.

Softball might be better for scholorships down the road. But if you like the advantage of doing more events in track then go that way. It is something that only you can decided. It is a matter of what you really love. But one thing to consider. The softball is a team event were a lot of track is an individual thing. Not sure if you have thought about that but always nice to have a team behind you. If you loose it was a team loss and if you win the team wins. Great if you can get a connection with your team mates. They will become friends for life.

i would go for track, not because i don't like softball, but in track there are so many events that you can try and you can find which one you are best at and enjoy the most. also track is a no cut sport so you don't have to worry about being good in the beginning! Also people say that you don't learn teamwork from track but i am a track runner and i know from experience that even though you are actually competing by yourself, you are working for a team score. Also at practice there are so many people that the coach cant constantly be helping everyone, so you get most of your coaching from your team mates, which is also another way to make new friends and meet hot track boys ;)

well i think track is better if you want to build more muscles and get stronger and want to have a good workout. if you want to have fun and play a sport u enjoy and do lots of competitions go with Softball! but honestly it depends on which sport you can see yourself working at more. if it was me i would probably go with softball becuase softball has running in it also so in a way youre doing both sports. but with track its just track no softball.
hope i helped....

Well I did track for a season and it is brutal there is a lot of running and if you arent as fast as the others who are used to it you might get discouraged whereas with softball its a fast learning sport and easy to get into.. so id suggest softball

im not taking sides since i never played softball, only track, but what i say is to give softball a try, its unique, and unlike track you cant just practice wherever you want....if you really, really like track, i suggest you just practice running sprints and stuff in yr neighborhood, where as in softball you need a field, a bat, and ball to play...idk, do whatever YOU like, not what some random person on Y/A is tellin you

What have you played longer? Stick with that. Unless you want a college scholarship. I played softball from 5 years to 16 years, then I jumped to soccer in 10th grade. Part of me wishes I would have stuck with softball. I miss that game. But, another part of me is glad I took the opportunity to learn a "new" sport. Best wishes. Just do your best in either and don't quit!!!!

if you like the team thing then go for softball. if you want to be more solo go for track. i prefer track because i like to not have to depend on other person to decide whether i win or not plus my hand eye cordination is not the best...
