in the summer time, insects crave water like most living things...your ears and nose and mouth all contain moisture rich mucous membranes. Natrurally it ias damp, dark and convienent....gee whiz...

A couple of years ago, my mom was lying on an old blanket she'd gotten from our attic and she got a fly stuck in her ear.
I'm totally not kidding.
It was awful.

That happens to me too. I think they like dark places.
Or is some cases of peoples ears, hollow places and they like to hear their own buzz.

It happened to me, when I was a child. Now I think my fear attracted them to me... because after I forgot them, they never came again to me.
A second possibility is: you must wash your ears and nose more often.
