I am a Republican and I disagree with a lot of his politics, But at least you know he votes what he believes and stands up for his true belief's. He does not see which way the wind is blowing to vote. He needs to run as an independent. And if you don't vote don't ever complain.
I support the President and the war. I hate death like any one does but America does not need war here on or soil.

As a Republican I think it is a good thing that Lieberman lost in the primary. It will show the country how far to the left the Democrats have gone. When Joe wins in the general election the Democrats will come crying to him for support. What do you think he will do. As for war, I hate war! They say war is Hell but I think losing at war is worse!! Just ask anybody in the towers on 9-11.

Independent and against the war in Iraq, Vocally and otherwise!
I am for going after terrorist! Osama seems to be quite safe after 3 years. And no one seems interested in getting him!
Lieberman is an example of a person who turned his back to the people who elected him and was pro Bush! This goes to show how angry America really is!
Sitting incumbents don't lose, especially to someone in his own party! Well, look what happened!!
If I were a Republican I would be finding other means of employment!!
His loss should have sent a clear message to everyone tied to the war and to Bush!! We don't care whether you hold a Democratic ot Republican seat. In November you are going down!

Well I just registered in CT (just turned 18). I didn't vote because I registered as an Independant. Honestly, I am just glad it is over. There was too much hype over the race.
About the war, I don't think its necessary, but it was going to happen eventually. There has been fighting over there for years and the US always has to stick its nose in other people's business. I do hope it ends soon, but if it is necessary for troops to stay longer to help out the peace process, that is alright. But not too long. And if there is a deadline, get them out before then, not months after. So I dont know if that makes me a republican or a democrat.

As a Liberal, i'm very satisfied. curiously you're unaware, yet he become considered as a DINO. He turned right into a suitable-leaning average. yet you Cons are so deranged that anybody to the left of Dick Cheney is a Liberal to you. an same way you adult men view Lindsey Graham as a RINO, we view Lieberman as a DINO. in reality, Joe Lieberman become the proper DINO in existence. with any success he would get replaced with the aid of a sought after Democrat.

As someone who generally favors Republicans...
From a partisan perspective, it thrills me to no end. The democrats threw away a respected voice and replaced him with a light weight who can't really articulate his positions beyond soundbites. (Yes, I have heard him speak.) It drives the democratic party to the left and makes their party much less likely to gain house/senate seats or the White House if they follow this path.
From a patriotic perspective, it saddens me. I did not agree with Lieberman...a lot. However, I believe that he usually acted in a way that he thought was best for our country. He stands for what he believes in no matter who it puts him by. I respect that. We need to see more of that.
I am more patriotic than partisan. So this saddens me.
There is a drive from the left to strip him of his committee assignments etc., in congress. That would be a terrible thing to do to someone who has served his party and country well.

Who's Joe Lieberman? Not decided what party I'm registering for yet. Was Republican, now leaning towards Democrat, but I do because of my stance on issues not my opinion on people.

Yes, I am glad he lost. He has been conservative on far too many occasions not just the War. He was in favor of interfering in the Schiavo case, as well as other socially conservative issues. IF he wants to be a RepubliKKKan , he can run as one!

Yes.
Now when he wins as an independant (the independent voters in CT will flock to him) he will caucus with the Rs, giving them an additional seat.
