Why are so many people here on Yahoo against Israel?

I am really curious how many really know what they are talking about. I feel so hurt when I see so many people bashing Jews these days. Do you people actually know the history of Israel? Serious answers only-

I am from SE Michigan. I am pro-Israel. The highest concentration of Muslims outside the Middle East is here. They rally wildly for Hezbollah, Hamas, 9/11, anthing that kills, maims or mutillates non-Muslims.

It is heart wrenching to see the photos of dead and injured children (even if Adnan Hajj, the Reuters phtographer fudged some pics). People respond to this. That is why they criticize Israel. Hezbollah wins the propaganda war by maximizing civilian casualties inside Lebanon. That is why it operates in civilian areas, so civilians will be injured and the photos will be taken. (and sometimes staged)

It should be mandatory for every American to take a vacation in Dearborn, Michigan or Hamtramack, Michigan. They might get a more realistic picture of what Islam is like.

It is Muslims that should relocate, perhaps to a large planet like Jupiter where they could have a global theocracy. The rest of us can live together peacefully side by side.

Everyone should memorize this verse from the Qur'an and recite it to anyone who believes that Islam is a peaceful religion.

Qur'an Surah al-Hujurat (49):15
Mumim (true Muslims) believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), and without doubt they strive in the cause of Allah (jihad fee Sybil Allah) with their wealth and their lives. Those! They are the sincere.

إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ ءامَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرْتَابُوا وَجَهَدُوا بِأَمْوَلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الصَّدِقُونَ

Innama almu/minoona allatheena amanoo biAllahi warasoolihi thumma lam yartaboo wajahadoo bi-amwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahi ola-ika humu alssadiqoona

What is jihad fee sybil Allah? It is ridding the world of fitnah.

Muslims want to rid the world of fitnah. Qutb, an Islamic scholar, writes that the world would be a utopia under Islamic theocracy. Islam is a political as well as a religious system.

Qur'an Surah Al-Anfãl (8):39 {Eng, Ar, transliteration}:
So fight them (unbelievers) until there is no more fitnah (disbelief or worship of any god but Allah) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)" ... "And fight with them until there is no more fitnah (persecution) and religion should be only for Allah

وَقَتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّهِ فَإِنْ انتَهَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

Waqatiloohum hatta la takoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu kulluhu lillahi fa-ini intahaw fa-inna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona baseerun

Allah commands deeds of terror by the believers against the unbelievers as the means of creating the emotion of terror in their hearts. The only reason needed for action is that "they resisted Allah and His Messenger". Such an approach to "conflict management" is nothing to be ashamed about according to Islamic understanding, but it is a basis for pride. According to Islam, it is one reason for the superiority of Muhammad over all other prophets.

Qur'an Surah Al-Anfãl (8):12-13
Recall that your Lord inspired the angels: "I am with you; so support those who believed. I will throw terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved. You may strike them above the necks, and you may strike even every finger. This is what they have justly incurred by fighting GOD and His messenger. For those who fight against GOD and His messenger, GOD's retribution is severe.(Khalifa trans.)

Thalika bi-annahum shaqqoo Allaha warasoolahu waman yushaqiqi Allaha warasoolahu fa-inna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi

If you read the real history of the conflict, which began really on November 2, 1917, you would understand what the cause of the problem really is. In the US the mainstream media is always biased in favor of Israel, and the jewish-revisionist version of the history of the conflict is all most Americans ever hear. Israel is a very aggressive, racist, terrorist, and genocidal country, and by its actions over the past 60 years has only itself to blame for all the hatred directed against it. Israel is the cause of the crisis, but if you only hear and believe the jewish version then none of this makes any sense. The clock is running out on them; they can continue to attack and bomb their neighbors only so long, and I applaud the fact, if it is indeed a fact, that Iran is training and giving material support to the Hezbollah freedom fighters. One way or another Israel has to be put in its place by force, since it will never admit to the cause of its problems or do anything that would effectively become a real solution.

[[I was born during world war 2 I know people who had family in the holicast. I am very pro Isreal. It has to fight the arabs to survive. It bought the land. They did not take it. the individuals on the land sold it. The Israeli's made it grow food. They built the modern cities.
The area was made a state for the Jews after the war. It is their traditional homeland. It is a very small area. The Arabs have waste lands and wealth from the oil. They do not need Isreal to survive as a people. I think they are mean and greedy to keep fighting just because their ancestors used to live there. I think if any are now homeless the Arabs that are rich should care for their brothers as the Koran tells them.

I don't know about anybody else and I don't really care..... but I am FOR Israel and I hope they wipe Hezbollah and all the other idiots like him off of the face of this earth.

Hezbollah started the whole thing and Israel started out defending themselves and now they have to finish the job thoroughly this time around. It was the meddling of our president and politicians that set Israel back and at the same time allowed Israel's enemies grow stronger. America needs to back up Israel and strop meddling in Israeli affairs. I say drop the bomb on Iran and take out their Nuclear plant now before they use it against Israel.... Iran is supplying Hezbollah with weapons and will soon be a bigger threat to America than North Korea. The middle east terrorists have already proven how much they hate America.... destroy them now before they get to strong.

We don't want war but sometimes we must fight so we may find peace.

STICKING OUR HEADS IN THE GROUND and brain washing ourselves to not recognize this war will not help.... in fact it does much damage to our nation. How? It will put us in jeopardy when we feel that all war is wrong because we tend to not face the reality of the brutalnes and brutal truth that most humans are destriuctive and what we see happening in the middle east is a PERFECT EXAMPLE because these fanatics hates all of mankind that will not live by their lifestyle and religious views. Every one blames Christians for forcing religion on others but tell me when was the last time you heard of Christian Terrorist Cell in America?

These middle east fanatics needs to be destroyed..... I am not saying that all people from the middle east are fanatics, just the ones that promote terrorism.... You can identify them because they kill there own people too and anyone who don't believe in their religious beliefs.

Hi,

Whilst I am no historian, I do understand that conflicts always have two sides and that more often than not, both sides have committed acts that most humane people would consider terrible.

However, the fact that Israel are bombing Lebanon back to the Stone age and killing innocent women and children indiscriminately will only bolster people's opinions that the Israelis are the terrorists.

to what that kid said.... Hizbollah did not start it. They only took the 2 israeli soldiers to exchange them for the thousands of innocent lebanese locked up in the Israeli jails. And then Israel had to go and kill over 1000 innocent lebanese civilians.

because they have a right to be. israel is killing old people, women, and children that have nothing to do with the war.
