that is a factual truth. you can break the physical being or the human body such as when the soldiers were tortured.... but you won't be able to break the human spirit or their free will. this human spirit is the soul.

Of course the human spirit can be conquered. Many are oppressed with no savior to help them, and all hope is gone. Just cast your eye on Africa, for an obvious example.
