My friend's brother (who is black) only dates white girls. I don't think I ever seen him with a black girl or a girl from any other race. My friend recently started dating this white guy and her brother is pissed. He doesn't think that she should date a white guy and he is not telling her why. My friend asked me about why he is acting this way. (She thought I would know since my mom is black and my dad is white) I didn't know, so she thought I should go to Yahoo and ask some black guys if they may know the reason why. So, do you? Personally, I think he is just being a hypocrite.

I am not a guy but I will answer this question. When it comes to dating white women, due to racism and segregation, black men have always been brainwashed by white men to think that white was always right, and because they were told for so long not to look, speak, associate with white people, they feel that now that times have changed they can now do what they have never been allowed to do. I say white men because it was mostly men that ran society, they even told their white women what and what not to do. Your friend's brother probably feels like the white man has always told him/the black man that he could not do this or that and now his sister is dating a white guy and he doesn't think it is fair or sees it as if his sister is supporting the very same person who has always told the black man no. He feels it's alright to date white women because he subconsciously takes it as a slap in the white man's face because he now has the white man's girl; the girl that the white man has told him not to look at or associate with. It all stems down from attitudes during periods of racism which was not very long ago, which is why there is animosity between whites and blacks on both sides.
And about being prettier, that is not the case because there are pretty people as well as ugly people in every race. Beauty is only in the eye of beholder. Beauty to me may be ugly to you...

If your friends brother is upset simply because her boyfriend is white then your friends brother is being hypocritical. But perhaps he knows something about the boyfriend that she doesn't know and he is trying to protect her from that. Maybe she should ask him for the reason behind it.

I have said repeatedly to my family that I would rather my daughter date and marry a black man who loves her and treats her with respect than to marry a white man who is going to beat the crap out of her everyday of her life and who will not take care of her.
