My guinea pig has her inner left ear flakey and dry. what does that mean?

i would take it to the vet it sounds like it might have a ear infection

Sounds like possibly ear mites. You can get treatment at a local feed store, you can also use veg oil, only a few drops in the ear.

Your guinea pig may be suffering from ear mites. Try treating it with topical ivermectin. You will alos have to do a thorough scrubbing-out of his cage.

Could be a dirty ear, or ear mites. Look it up on the webs.
