A healthy Carson Palmer is the best of those. Drew Brees is good and Steve McNair is past his prime

Great question Cody T. First, we have to analyze each quaterback. Steve McNair has acccomplished more in his career than the other two. However, at present he is on the decline after many years of abusing his body. McNair has always been a warrior and a tough QB. Brees just recently came into his own. He was a great QB at Purdue, but carriedthe clipboard for several years before he was given his chance. He has great talent and leadership ability. Palmer is simply amazing. He sat one year behind Jon Kitna and then took the league by storm. They are all very good QBs. McNair I would rank as the toughest, i.e, his entire career. Brees as the best team leader, i.e, what he did in San Diego taking a 4-12 team and making it a 12-4 team. Palmer I would have to give the most athletic award, i.e., the guy is back from a horrific knee injury in January and he beat Pitt twice last year (had he finished the playoff game it would be three times). Who the best is depends what an individual looksfor in a QB. I have enjoyed watching all three and will continue to do so.

Over all, Steve McNair. Brees and Palmer are good quarterbacks, but Steve McNair has played longer. If I had to pick one of them to start a team now...it would be Carson Palmer...even with the blown out knee. I think he'll have a solid season...if his teammates could manage to stay out of jail...ha ha ha...

Anyways, I would rate them this way.
All time: Steve McNair
Currently: Carson Palmer
Eventually Carson Palmer will be the better of all three.

Steve Mcnair

This year it will definitely be the healthy mcnair. He is throwing to his old buddy Mason, and he has Mark Clayton. Don't forget about Todd Heap. He is coming off his best year in the NFL. Also, with Jamal Lewis and Mike Anderson to distract the defense, Mcnair will have all the time in the world to throw the ball. No doubt Mcnair is the best.

Palmer

Carson Palmer easily...right now he's considered the 3rd best QB in the league behind Manning and Brady...and his injury is getting overrated, he's playing this preseason and is expected to start the first game of the season.
