The index, pinky, and thumb means I Love You, but the index and the pinky alone it took on that demonic meaning in the 80's when people were rebelling on older peole for saying Metal was the Devil's music. But I saw this in the art work of Funkadelic's "One Nation Under A Groove" from back in the 70's, before Metal. I guess it means the funk... originally.

It's a reference to Devil Horns, but it's used very loosely and has no satanic connotation. It just means that something rocks hard. The opposite symbol is raising a lit cigarette lighter during a song. Raising a lighter usually means the song doesn't rock.
