Take a deep breath and relax... welcome to womanhood.

There is nothing to worry about. Go purchase some feminine hygiene napkins (Minipads) and adhere them to the inside of your panties. That will protect the fabric, and make you feel a little more comfortable. Change them regularly.

The flow might be heavy on your first period, and it might get a little intimidating... and you may cramp a little. If the cramps get strong, Advil (or any ibuprophen) is good... it helps you through this.

Don't worry... it's all cool... and it's all normal.

You're probably going to feel a little uncomfortable around people for the next couple of days... just because, hey! Things are a little different now! But once it's over... you'll get a better understanding of what it's like.

So... again... deeeep breath... you'll do just fine.

Make sure to talk to your mom or an adult female you feel comfortable with. This can be a confusing time in a young girls life. Dont be embarrased it is a normal thing. Have someone get you some pads and make sure to clean yourself and change them often

Congrads! Go into the bathroom or toiletry closet and get a pad to stick on a new pair of underwear.

You need to talk to your mom, and get some sanitary protection. They have nice thin ones that have sticky undersides that stick to your underwear. If you normally wear a thong, you might want to wear grannie pants during your period.

Otherwise, there isn't much to do, just go about your normal activities.
