In American indian mythology what does the orange feather mean?

I had a dream that the great spirit told me i must get the only orange feather.
In this dream I was an American Indian. I went on a long and dificult journey to obtain the the orange feather. I dont remember what i had to do but I came back to my village with it and everyone in the whole village was so happy they were bringing me gifts of skins!

It means go to your local craft store...

I have my doubts that it means anything in any of the tribes/Nations. I mean, how many actual orange birds did and do we have in the U.S. I'm guessing few to none. As far as I know, people did not decorate themselves or clothing with just any feathers, only those of specific birds like the eagles feathers were special...it wasn't like a bunch of dyed craft store feathers. So again, I doubt it was anything more then a dream and not a magic message.

well im native american and know alot about my culture and I am proud,but it dont mean nothin.Just a dream..Yeah u probably though t it was something,but Im KIOWA-OTOE from oklahoma and that dont have any meaning that i know in my tribes.
