My son put a shirt in the dirty laundry basket. In my haste I dumped the laundry into the wash without scaning throught it first. As I was folding the clothes after everything was clean & dry, I noticed there was a sticker that had fused to the fibers of my sons favorite T-shirt. Does anyone know how to remove the sticker & save the shirt without ruining it?

1. Spray the label with ordinary rubbing alcohol, or, if you don't have any rubbing alcohol, use non-aerosol hairspray.

2. Wait a minute or two.

3. Gently scrape the label off the clothing with a paring knife, a butter knife or another straight edge, such as a credit card or a ruler.

4. Wait 5 or 10 minutes for the alcohol to dry -- and you're on your way!

Or you can try this

Spray spot with WD-40, then wash area with Dawn dishwashing liquid. Rewash in your washing machine.

lighter fluid will melt all of the sticky away, even after it has melted onto the cotton

wear rubber gloves and rinse it out of the shirt really well before re-washing & add some baking soda to the wash to ensure you get all of the lighter fluid stink out!

You can try spraying it with WD-40 and picking off what you can before re-washing (the WD-40 will wash out).

there are sticker removers out there and goof off and oops but if it melted into the shirt, its likely its dead.
