Well I am the hugest Royals fan.I don't think either team is gonna win it next year but the Royals have a major chance in the next few years cuz they are reshaping their minor league system so all those players will be coming up.With this new GM I think there will be a lot of changes that will help them.I think he has made some great trades even though he seems to be getting ride of all my favorite players but its for the good of the team so thats good.Well to answer your question....I think the Royals have a way better chance than the Pirates.

Neither of them will win the world series in 2007, but if you'd like to know who I think will get back to the world series first...my vote goes to the Pittsburg Pirates.

Jason Bey is a very good player, and if they can get a solid starter and closer they'll be tough to beat. Let's face it...the National League much less competitive than the American League (if you need stats check out the interleague games records).

The Royals are in a helluva division, and it's going to be just as tough next year as it is this year.

Both teams are getting better, but the first to the World Series to me is the Pirates.

I WOULD laugh at this suggestion, however we need look no farther than the Detroit Tigers this year as an example of a team thats really turned things around...and I doubt many people would have bet on that happening, wish I could back up the clock and put lots of Vegas money on them just to reach the playoffs. And if they go all the way I hope to read a story of some brave soul making a fortune on believing in them this year.

those r the 2 worst teams in the league. Pirates in 20 years. And the Royals will win when we find a way to get to Pluto on a skateboard!

Sad but true :(

i'm a Pirate fan regardless of if that's in simple terms too early to assert who would be interior the placed up -season regardless of if that's large to be sure Pittsburgh get off to this 2-0 commence. i've got faith they are going to be a extra suited team than final 12 months yet for placed up season i've got faith they seem to be a 12 months or 2 away till now they are going to project for the international sequence. They nonetheless want a sprint extra growth with a number of their gamers after which i've got faith they are going to be a contender.

,Neither unless one or both make some wholesale changes in the off-season. They both lack pitching and have weak hitting lineups. Detroit this year is going from last to first because they made some trades and signed several outstanding free agents last winter. KC and Pittsburgh need to learn from the Tigers or settle for another poor season next year.

Chow!!

The only small payroll clubs with a decent chance next year will probably be the Brewers and Marlins.

Only if Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, a leprachaun, a unicorn, a money tree, and three players from the Devil Rays take the field vs. them every game next year.
